Excellent Sunday

Great day at Snowbasin training slalom in the morning. Fun lunch with my family and most of my nieces and nephews. Awesome pizza dinner with the in laws and that family. Now we are at home enjoying the porch a cold beverage and talking about how amazing the Yampa River is going to be.

Snowbasin Barbeque

Great spring barbeque at the Ogden Valley Ski Team yurt today. The weather at Snowbasin was amazing very summer like, felt like we passed spring right on by. Few more days of training a couple of races and the season will be wrapping up. Then it is off to white water, great rivers like the Yampa river and Green River. Looking towards an awesome season of rafting trips.

Snow Day?

It is cloudy, colder and breezy here in Telluride.  Supposed to be a decent snow storm coming in this afternoon. Not great for racing but fun for skiing. A bonus is it is added water to the snow pack for great summer river rafting adventures.

<p>Arrived today in Telluride, Colorado for four days of junior FIS alpine ski racing. Beautiful weather, snow conditions look great should be an amazing weekend. Stuck in the office

A warm beautiful day and I have been stuck inside all day on the computer and on the phone. Hope to get outside this afternoon for a mountain bike ride.

Early morning gs training

Amazing session of early morning giant slalom training at Wolf Mountain. Tough to beat having a beautiful sunrise, followed by excellent skiing even more great reasons to visit Utah.

Barbeque

First backyard barbeque of the year. Had the ski team kids over for hamburgers and hot dogs lots of fun.

Another Gorgeous Day In Utah

Wow another beautiful day in Utah. With this warm weather we will be seeing some rivers start to run soon enough for boating season to begin. I would not be surprised if die hard kayaker's aren't out on a river or creek somewhere in the state already. Days like this the Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam is spectacular. The weather is warm, the sun is shining the white water is fun and splashy and the trout fishing is great. Get excited about summer, river rafting season is getting close. Full Moon Over Wolf Mountain

Really cool full moon over Wolf Mountain ski resort. Up on the hill night training with the kids I coach ski racing. A lot of these young rippers love to get out on the river in the summer kayaking and rafting. You can find them out on high water Yampa River trip having a blast.

Dreaming about rivers

While we are enjoying this beautiful sunshine and some fresh new snow the thought of the upcoming river season is strong. The skiing at Wolf Mountain and Snowbasin is excellent right now with several inches of new powder in the last 24 hours.
